Looks like the bubble shape structures is like some type of defying gravity thing once you enter one.. orrrr I'm thinking it wrong.

the bubbles aren't actually structures, but rather shielding! planes can fly right through them.

Wait... so the shields has the anti-gravity works in them? So like if the ships approach them in high speed, the shields will dramatically reduce the speeds of the ship and such? or the ship itself has the main landing procedure like thrusters and boosting and other such?

It's just because since there's no long landing pads or roadway, something like that.

not really anti-grav, no.

they're more a safety shield. they create a sterile enviroment that isolates any beings exiting the ship while they undergo further steralization procedures before reaching the ground. the shields are also an elaborate sensory network. if you enter one with your ship (or leave one) the conturian city's central computer now knows you did, what kind of ship you have, who the registered captain is, what planet it was initially registered on, any tickets or police notes on the ship, etc etc.

the system can also sense if a ship is going too fast, or about to overshoot. or if a person falls off the edge. the bottom (or sides) of the shield become a sticky globy plasma and essentially prevent anyone from being hurt.

also space planes can land vertically and don't need a horizontal approach, they just need to go into a hover as they come in.
